Teacher Judgment Is the Product.
Software supports it. Software does not replace it. Boomerang Pass is built by a working teacher — someone who still runs the routines the product is designed to support.

Part of the Boomerang Family of Classroom Tools.
Boomerang Pass is the first product from Boomerang Classroom™, a small, teacher-built EdTech company designing classroom tools from deep inside the school day — not from outside it. Boomerang Pass is a privacy-first digital hallway pass for high schools, built around trust, dignity, and quiet accountability.
The second product, Boomerang Projects, extends the same philosophy into a different part of the school day: the extended research project, where freedom is the point and structure is what protects it. Both products share the same conviction — the tools we put in classrooms should reflect the best of teaching, and they should make the routines of school quieter, fairer, and more respectful of student time.
Boomerang Pass™
A privacy-first digital hallway pass for high schools. No GPS. No countdown timers. No public clipboard. Student-led, teacher-visible, quietly accountable.
Boomerang Projects
An EdTech project-management workspace for extended classroom research. Built for the rubric, the deadlines, and the daily realities of running long-form student work.
Shared Across Every Boomerang Product.
- Teacher judgment is the product. Software supports it. Software does not replace it.
- Student work is not training data. Not for us. Not for anyone else.
- The workflow belongs to the student first. Tools should not erase what a student is already doing.
- Signals are information for a teacher, not automatic flags. Patterns lead to conversation, not punishment.
- Minimal data, FERPA-aware. No third-party trackers in student flows.
- No student-facing essay generation. Ever.
